On the recent reporting of Governor Hochul’s Covid Testing Pay-to-Play Scandal and Peter Harckham’s Silence
“It is deeply concerning that Governor Hochul awarded a huge state contract for covid tests that other states were paying half as much for. The Governor was using her unchecked emergency powers to bypass the state bidding process and pay her very own campaign donors in return for large donations.
Let’s be clear: the Governor was able to throw millions of taxpayers dollars at her donors because of her long-lasting emergency powers. I called for this emergency order to end months ago. My opponent, Peter Harckham, has been silent.
Scandal has plagued Albany for years. Like you, I’ve had enough. I am officially calling for an investigation into this pay-to-play scandal. Taxpayers of the Hudson Valley deserve the full story and full accountability.
Peter Harckham has been complicit with the corruption of the Political Ruling Class since the day he arrived in Albany. We need a representative who will speak up, provide oversight, and call for accountability regardless of political party affiliation. I am ready to restore ethics to our State Capitol.”
